Mickey Mantle Score AUTO---FAKE OR REAL????

Anyone else think this Mantle would not pass as authentic??? When did they ever number those on the front????

Guy is a town over from me, so I think I am going to contact him and let him know, just wanted to know what you all thought...

Looks to me like someone just took the regular insert card and tried to fake the AUTO and number it to /2000---little research would have shown the faker that they are numbered on the back!!

Are you guys telling me that there is no way to tell if one of these are fake? There were both auto'd and non-auto's versions without a trace of distinguishable markings to differ??

hey tim, i have had several of these and EVERY one has been numbered on the BACK. it also clearly states on the back "XXXX of 2000 personally autographed cards".

Me too....I have had about 7 or 8 of them, and have never ever seen one like that....just wanted to make sure there really wasnt another version I was unaware of that did indeed come out in 2002 score as the auction states, lol.

Yes, will have the funds at some point next week.....

arent the cards all signed lower on the card more over his legs than his body? Ive never seen one signed half way down the card before like that one..

Well...seems everyone agrees with me that this is a fake...and I know the guy selling the card and this doesnt seem like something he would do, so I am guessing he got hosed on a deal somewhere....
