what's the story? The Yankees would issue a wooden pog (or a stamped cross-section of bat) to fans as a "rain check" if the game was not an official game?

I haven't been able to find out a lot, but the best I can find that the Yankees used them in 1968.

I go to a lot of used bookstores and I've found a number of signed books, some I buy, some I don't. I always look at sports books and have never found one signed by the player, but I keep looking. A Mantle is the dream.
