2/3 of the way through the season, here is where he stands:

.326 average (2nd to Trout at .246)
29 Homeruns (2nd to Dunn with 31)
95 RBI (1st with 4 more than Hamilton's 91)

Just sayin.

The guy will be overlooked for MVP...like last year.

and the year before, only explanation i got for him not winning over hamilton was because the tigers were not in the playoff picture...also i think he will take over the BA lead, he hit 340 last year and the rbi's i think he will keep as well, only problem will be hrs considering he plays at comerica

The guy will be the MVP this year....

Fixed it for ya ;)

On a more serious note, As i said on another thread Miggy Should and deserves to win the Mvp just for the simple fact that he has proven to be a Superstar with the bat.

I figured this would be a career year for him with Fielder behind him. I doubt he wins the MVP unless he somehow gets the triple crown.

just hit his 39th hr..he leads with 125 rbis and 332 avg...3 hrs behind the leader in that category, unless he goes on a tear it looks like he will fall short with the homeruns

He's a complete animal.

I agree that I think he'll fall just short of the Triple Crown in the HR department, but even so, 39 homers (and counting) is a new career best for him. What a year he's having. If they make the playoffs, it'll be entirely his doing. He's absolutely carrying this team right now.

If he was a Yankee he would be leading the league in HR's, which would probably mean he would be in the lead for RBI and Ave as well.

I'm glad to have him in my dynasty keeper league. 2nd best hitter of this era behind Pujols with the chance to surpass Pujols IMO...

Cabrera is a beast. Not many come along with the power and average combo he has.
