Mike Modano meets with Detroit Front Office

I think it would be appropriate for Modano to sign with the wings. I mean he is from Michigan and Im sure he grew up a fan of the wings..Im just wondering what jersey he would wear.. . . some old nobody wore number 9 and had it retired....he cannot double up the nine (99) because some other geezer had that number retired as well...who know, but it is interesting.

I think it is more like he thinks he has a something left in the tank Compared to the stars the Wings are built to win now and he would have a chance on winning one more cup with the team he grew up loving so I wouldnt mind seeing him in a wings uniform

he certainly didn't look like he had anything left in the tank last season. don't get me wrong I am a huge Modano fan and always will be but at times last season he looked like he didn't even care to be on the ice. even when the Stars were playing good he just seemed to be going through the motions. I agree he needs to retire.

I know this a couple of days late but im really excited Mike Modano is coming Detroit. I think he will be strong on the power play despite his age. It is just another Future HOF that Detroit catches at the end of their careers and still make it work.
