Derek Norris: 1 for 1, HR (2nd game in a row with a HR)

Make that 2 HRs for Norris today.

Matt Dominguez with a great day as well: 4-4, HR, 2 2Bs, solo HR.

Maybin is dominating AAA. I just wish he could perform like this in the show.

Today so far: 2-2, 2B, 3-run HR (now batting .333).

Also worthy of note - he has almost as many BB's as K's in the PCL. Very encouraging.

Alderson

6IP 3H 3R 3ER 1BB 3K 2HR's

He was pitching against Reading (M.Taylor's team) but Taylor was given the day off, at least until the 7th inning where they put him in as a offensive substitution where he hit a sac fly & collected an RBI. They then kept him in & his only other AB he was walked. Kinda crummy as I was hoping to see how he fared against Alderson (or how Alderson fared against Taylor ;) ).... an RBI & BB isn't too shabby for 2ab's late in the game! :D

Aldy gets the "W" though not too pretty:

6ip, 3hits, 3runs, 3ER, 1BB, 3K's, 2HR's (holds a 2.59 ERA on the year)! Dang nice ERA though, that's for sure! :D

I'm not sure if you are aware or not, but he has diabetes, that's mostly why he will have a day off. If he didn't, I bet he would play everyday.

Yeah I had read about that early on but I never really thought about it too much because none of the source's ever really mentioned it when discussing Taylor (good thinking though). Medicine has come a long way in helping those with diabetes, but I'm sure being the 6'6" 260lb goliath that he is makes it a bit more trickey/problematic than that of an "average joe" who has to live with & treat it everyday! :D

2 HR's and
3 RBI's....still only batting .210 though

Two days in a row with 2 HR's too.

For those of you that are HATING on Chris Davis with the Rangers right now, you better stay away, RUN away from Greg Halman!

Halman will have his 15 minutes of fame some day, then it will a dump and run.

Last two days he is 6 for 10 with 4 HRs and 6 RBIs.

He is batting .500 (7 for 14) with 3 doubles, 4 HRs and 6 RBIs since friday......with only 3 Ks.

right back on the hot list this week........still has 4 days to add to that total.....or bring it down....tough to bring down 4 HRs.

I have respect for the dudes power, and the ability to get locked in and have a big week or 10 days.....

Just saying...If he strikes out at this rate in the minors, imagine what those K numbers will be like in the bigs???

And....Only 3 k's in 14 At bats??? Really? That is still more than a 20% clip. I guess for him, that is some form of improvement ::facepalm::
