Strieby with his second double......in the 6th inning.


Erie put up a 7 spot in the 6th and Strieby's second double knocked in two of them. I'd say that's a pretty solid inning from a hitter's perspective.

And I just want to say, for like the sixteenth time, that Chris Carter (MID) has shown TONS better dicipline and has his average at .300 tonight. We already know he has the power.

Watch out.

So far tonight he singled, walked, and scored a run in two official AB's.

WOW, I just checked Cory Kluber's stats from lastnight's game & although he took the loss he piled up the K's-

7ip, 8hits, 3ER, 1BB, & 14 K's!!!!! :shock:

Too bad Kluber has lost his last 2 outing's because he has struckout 23 batter's to 3BB in his last 12.1 IP (last 2 games)....that's about 2 batter's an inning!

I'm not sure if the Padres organization is feeding thier minor league pitcher's thier Wheaties or what this year but between Lake Elsinore's two Cory's (C.Luebke who's 7-2, 78K's to 16BB's in 83.1 IP, w/a 2.48ERA & C.Kluber who's been striking out batter's like there's no tommorrow) & AA's Mat Latos, they seem to be doing something right!
