The Jarrod Parker command problems continue... I'll give him some time to adjust though. 6.0IP 5H 2ER 4BB 4K

Brandon Hynick, who looked sharp in his two starts prior to this one, didn't bring his best stuff when Fresno came to town:

6.1 5R 4ER 2BB 3K 2HR

Oh well. He hit his second home run of the year to support his cause.

Homer Bailey looked fantastic for Louisville, eight shutout innings. 118 pitches isn't too bad through 8, but I think he can trim the load.

Player IP H R ER BB SO HR ERA
Bailey (W, 5-5) 8.0 4 0 0 2 8 0 3.79

8K, 2BB. His command continues to improve.

Not tough luck when you make 2 of the 3 errors committed yourself ::facepalm::

(facepalm directed at Tillman, not person I'm quoting)

Ouch for tim alderson, he gets a loss and pitched well

Great to see him going so deep in games though. I love to see minor leaguers get 8 or 9 innings. It's a tough loss to take, yes, but it's not a bad loss and will not inflate his ERA.

Surprisingly, Michael Main is showing signs of improvement... more groundouts, fewer hits/runs. His fastball command still needs work, but it's definitely getting there... BA seems to agree... "has started to turn season around" (from the Daily Prospect Report). Yay!

5.1IP 4H 1ER 4BB 5K

I'm liking the 11Ks in past 9.1 IP...

Villalona gets his 8th homer going 2-4...
