Well it looked as if Michael Taylor was finally going to make BA put him at #1 on thier Hot Sheet (since in his recent BA hot sheet appearance's they had found some type of minor reason to not give him the #1 spot), and up until today's game (from Fri 6/26-Wed 7/1) he had been tearing it up across the board to the tune of:

12-for-25, .480 avg, 8 runs, 5-2B's, 2HR's, 7RBI's, 2BB's, 5K's, & 2-for-2 SB attempt's....

Tonight he is 0-for-2, with 1K... I'm betting that he just gave BA thier reason! :?

Another solid night for Travis Chick. His defense wasn't doing him any favors tonight.

Ryan Strieby and Brennan Boesch with back to back homers for Erie.

Matt LaPorta had a monster night going 3 for 5 with 2 Doubles, a Homer, and 5 RBI. I don't understand why everyone is giving up on him already, because last time I checked, he could absolutely rake.

Cardenas 2-3 2BB... Stanton also drew 2 walks. Vitters 1-3 1R

Barnese 6.0IP 2H 0ER 3BB 3K (high GO%). Not sure why he walked 3, but it doesn't worry me at all. That was a great performance.

On the other side, Zeke Spruill 5.0IP 7H 3ER 0BB 3K

Duffy had an ugly game... 3.1IP 5H 5ER 5BB 6K (5 walks?!)

Carlos Santana went 2-4 in Game 2 of a doubleheader against Bowie. His 3-run HR (#12) in the 5th inning was the difference maker in a 3-2 victory. :)

I have watched Collier many times in Lakewood and he always tries to look heater. He throws away the aspect of hitting a breaking ball. When I saw him hit, 99 percent of the time he gets a heavy dose of breaking balls and he screws up.
