Loosely related: Anyone know why Taijuan Walker is listed as Temporarily Inactive on milb.com?

According to Jonathan Mayo, he's being shut down for the remainder of the season.

One other minor piece of news to pass your way…right-hander Carter Capps, Seattle’s third-round pick in 2011 and the newest LumberKing as of yesterday will make his pro debut in the starting role on Monday in Peoria. He’s on the roster as right-hander Taijuan Walker (who turns 19 today) heads to the Temporary Inactive List. He’s likely done for 2011 after going 6-5, 2.89 over 18 starts, 96.2 innings in his first full season.

Crap, I was hoping for one more hot list before the season was over. Thanks for the info, I love these threads that you start.

Awesome. I was hoping he'd pitch the weekend that I went to the Kane county vs Clinton game.

They don't want him going over a certain amount of innings, especially since this is really his first full year pitching, considering he didn't even pitch that much in high school. He played shortstop and only started pitching as a senior. No need to put too many innings on that arm, kudos to Seattle.

And it just keeps getting worse for Justin O'Conner (Rays '10 1st Rounder)..... 0-4 BB K , 2 throwing errors, and 3 past balls , now hitting .131 on the season. C'mon guys show off your stashes, I know there are quite a few of you out there that have plenty......

Neil Ramirez pulled after only an inning. Is he injured again?
Supposedly illness instead of injury.
Profar 1-4 with his 32nd double of the year.

Hi my name is Adeiny and I'm looking to crack the top 10 this week on the hot list.
Hechavarria is batting .560 since being promoted to Las Vegas (14 for 25, 3 doubles, 6 runs)

Goes to show you how much of a joke the PCL is, guy could barely hit .200 in two years of AA......

My man Kevin Keyes with a HR and 3 RBI's for Hagerstown...3rd straight game with a HR. Brought his average up to .276 after hovering around the Mendoza line for the early part of the season. Has 3 HR and 12 RBI since last Friday's hot sheet. Fingers crossed!

Adeiny made his pro-debut last year as a 21yr old in Hi-A. He struggled to start the year mainly because Dunedin didn't have any Spanish speaking coaches. He was moved up to AA and was able to get some tutelage from the coaches there. He hit 0.273 the rest of the year in a tough league for hitters. He struggled to start the year, dude is not used to the cold and New Hampshire in the spring must have been a shock. I'd hardly call it struggling to hit .200. Keep in mind that this is his second full year and that he skipped the lower levels in the minors. He could be in the majors right now based on his defense right now but he needs another year in the minors to work on his hitting.
I know it is a small sample size but still impressive regardless of what league it is in.
