Just found out Carlos Martinez is being activated from the DL, and will make his AA Springfield debut tonight. :)

Can't wait to see how well former Arkansas State speedster Michael Faulkner does for the Everett Aquasox tonight. He stole 40 bases in 41 attempts this year for ASU. He has ZERO power but he gets on base quite often and is a thrill to watch on the basepaths and in the OF.

Martin Perez to me is in that group of prospects that I call the "Fernando Martinezes". Carlos Carrasco was in that group. I guess you could say the same about Matt Laporta. You feel me? It's not necessarily a bad thing. Nelson Cruz was a probable alumnus of this group.
