J Roof hits a grand slam - Hickory Crawdads

Jonathan Roof , really, didn't even know he was still playing.

He was on the Vermont Mountaineers in 2008. Now, if he gets a card, watchout....

He's listed at 6-1 165, but I'd be surprised if he actually weighed that much.

His dad, Gene, was actually at quite a few of the games. He wore a World Series ring. Got him to sign a few cards.

Vizcaino's injury yesterday apparently was not his elbow as suggested in yesterday's thread, it was a pulled back muscle...whew...looks like he'll miss at least 1 start, but it's much better than it could have been.

Yep, just read that on Baseball America as well.

So, that begs the question mwash-you reported yesterday: "Vizcaino may have popped his elbow tonight. Left game after a 3-0 count on a batter with discomfort."

Not much to say, except ::facepalm::  ::facepalm::  ::facepalm::

May went the distance in Game 1, and did very well. 7 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 0 BB, 6 K.

Manny Machado likes the taste of homeruns, as he just did it again.

Marcell Ozuna HR # 7. This kid could be another Stanton in the making.

Trayce Thompson HR #6.

Ozuna is built like an Ox, he won't be as athletic as Stanton but could be a monster for power at the plate. Guy hit the highest popup I ever seen last year which gives you an indicator of his power. Oh and I got him to sign a ball on the sweetspot. This was on my trip to the national.

I am holding a Thompson red status auto for a reason.

After 3, Xavier Avery 2-3, 2B

After 2, Mummey 1-2

Flacco with a 3R HR as well.

I guess I am a bringer of good luck by making this trade.

It's an epidemic - notable pitchers having their command just completely give out on them this week. First Shelby Miller, then Tyler Matzek, and now Alex Torres.

Final line - 4.1 IP, 5 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 7 BB, 2 K, WP

Ha, that mwashuc guy was wrong. I forgot he's the guy who posts every time something bad happens to a player he doesn't like, over exaggerates it, and goes boasting about it saying "my player is better". Shoulda looked at the poster. Oops. Thanks for posting the TRUTH about Arodys, Max.
