One BB, but no hits and another K for Stras.

2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 2 K

His control is not his best today with 37 pitches and 22 for strikes... 15B

Too much rest might be part of it...

When he played for SDSU, Gwynn had him pitch only once a week, so he's used to extra rest.

Why doesn't Scott Diamond have a card yet?...and why does milb.com have him pitching again tonight for Mississippi after his 8 inning gem last night.

One H, one BB and one K. His velocity is up there (touched 99), but his command isn't as good as previous starts.

3 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 3 K

(Btw, he's yet to give up a fly ball.)

Don't get me wrong, while Strasburg has dominanted the minors and allowed few hits, he's not getting the swings and misses like Tommy Hanson did last year, Hanson also was almost a year older. Strasburg may have Hanson in velocity and creating groundballs, but I think Hanson has a better overall arsenal.

Hanson age 22(AAA) 66.1 IP 40 H 17 BB 90 K's
Strasburg(AA,AAA) 34 IP 14 H 8 BB 40 K's

After giving up a hit, Stras quickly retires the next three batters.

4 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 3 K

Meanwhile, Chapman is having a much better outing this time so far. 4 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 3 K

After giving up a hit, he proceeds to strike out the side.

His command looked much better this inning, and his curve was described as "demonic".

5 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 6 K

Hopefully they'll let him pitch all 7 innings.

After his last outing, he should be trying like hell to stay at the level he's at and not get demoted!

Another 1-2-3 inning, 2 more K's. He's in the groove now.

That might be it for him though, as he's reached his pitch limit.

And he hit 98 on the gun repeatedly.

6 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 8 K

86 pitches, 56 strikes.

He gets his 9th K, and that's it for him.

92 pitches, 60 strikes.

7-2 GO/FO.

Final line:

6.1 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 9 K's

Can this be right? Milb shows the Columbus-Gwinnett game score as being 24-18!

I can't seem to get the box scores to show up, though.
