I woke up early and went to the Louisville Bats Scranton Yanks game. I got some pretty good game footage of Jesus I'll be uploading soon, including a line drive he crushed off of one of the Bats pitchers ankles. I also got a Curtis Granderson auto ball.

lol, you might be right. I'm seeing a lot of positives though. He's pitched 5+ inning in his last 8 starts. Getting about a K per inning and the league is only batting .218 against him. He's getting lots of swinging strikeouts. His fastball is back to 94+ and his other pitches are coming around. The only way he really gives up runs is to walks and wild pitches (and Mike Stanton). If anyone can straighten him out its the Braves pitching staff. Not to mention its only his 2nd season back from TJS.

Just got back from watching Matzek's first game in Asheville. I'm not a baseball scout by any means but I did play some high school ball and here is my so called assessment. Matzek the first few innings looked like he was working on his location. He sat around 86-90 for the first few innings with reaching 92 a few times. Then around the 4th inning he started letting it fly and was sitting around 94 and hit 98 once for a strike out (according to the stadium scoreboard). Matzek throws an easy 90-94 and likes to work fast. His secondary stuff wasn't really on tonight (walks) but when he got on top of his slider it was straight up nasty. Brad Hand on the other hand sat 92-95 most of the night and kept the ball down in the zone real well and didn't give up any hard hit balls even though he gave up 2 runs on seeing eye singles.
