Jared Mitchell had a great day at the plate for Winston-Salem (High A, CHI SOX), going 3-4, 2B, HR, 3 RBI, BB.

Jeremy Moore went 3-4, w/ a 3B, 3 R, HR, 2 RBI's today for Salt Lake (AAA, LAA). While Matt Palmer provided some defense, going 6.2 IP, allowing 4 H & 0 ER w/ 11 SO & 3 BB.

Something got into Russell, 5 doubles and 4 home runs in his last 3 games. That's serious production...

Russell adds another double in his last AB. So 6 doubles and 4 homers in 3 games.

Has always had the power, but the ridiculous amount of K's, and his age have always made it an uphill battle for him. I really hope he gets a shot, got to watch him in the MWL in 2009 and he was one of the nicest guys to come through.

M-Dom went 1-4 today for New Orleans (AAA, FLA). I wonder how long they will keep in minors, he seems to be healing well from the fractured elbow, batting .260 in AAA. The Marlins desperately need his defense. They should ditch Infante and mold Dominguez into a 2B. He's currently playing SS in AAA, and has been a 3B most of his career.

When will ANYONE notice this guy? Check that, when will anyone besides me notice this guy. If he puts up an entire season like this in AA at 22 its only a matter of time.

Any idea if he is going to be called up soon? He is killing the ball and the DBacks are not exactly set at 1B.

I dont think they call him up anytime soon.
The Dbacks have settled in on Juan Miranda at 1b. He has been their best hitter over the last week. To back him up they have Nady who has been steady at 1b and the OF. They recently let go of Branyan because these two guys have surged ahead of him.

For Goldschmidt to get the call Miranda Nady and Brandon Allen will all have to fail. I dont think we see Goldschmidt until september when rosters are expanded.
