Grandal 2-5, 2B, 3 RBI... hitting .364 for Carolina now.

Mesoraco who?

You may want to check the stats.

Mesoraco is absolutely killing triple A, to the tune of .315 avg, 28 2B, 1 3B, 8 HR, 46 RBI, 32 BB/50 K, .395 OBP, .920 OPS

Grandal is having a nice season, yes-but Mesoraco is doing it in AAA, and Mesoraco is just 5 months older.

I was being sarcastic.

But yes, the Reds would be stupid if they got rid of one of these guys based on position.

Agreed, could you imagine a line up with phillips, Bruce, votto, mesoraco, grandal AND yonder. Now all they have to do is figure out were to put em all

If all of those guys are playing at once the Reds would set MLB records for errors!! Yonder is adequate but still learning OF..He's probably stuck in LF. Either Mesoraco or Grandal would have to field somewhere other than Catcher or 1B. Put one of them in LF (historically where the worst defenders go after 1B) and now Yonder is RF? Pushing Bruce to ? with Stubbs in CF. No way it goes down like that...Alonso and Grandal get traded before next season with Alonso probably going by the trade deadline in a few weeks.
