1-2-3 first inning for Stras, with one K.

Hitting 99 on the gun easily.

all 3 were unearned....good to know.

WHY OH WHY the Mets don't make the call for him I can't figure out. He had a rough start, but has been really really good over the last month.

Someone is pinch-hitting for Stras, so his day is done.

Time to pack your bags, kid. See you in DC.

89 pitches, 54 strikes. 6-4 GO/FO.

It's only been an inning, and Matt Moore has already given up 5 runs. The kid can't get it together this year. ::facepalm::

and in other good news....

"Trayce Thompson, one of the few bright spots in the White Sox system this year has landed on the 7-Day DL after reportedly injuring his hand. The 19 year old outfielder is hitting .236/.296/.458 with Low-A Kannapolis and showing very good power. His strikeout rate, 27%, although high, is actually a very positive step forward for him after he struck out in 34.76% of his PA's in rookie ball last year. He's very raw, but his tools and athleticism make him one of the most exciting prospects in the Sox system."

I'd say Ackley is a virtual lock for tomorrow's Hot Sheet, or at least the Team Photo. 1-1 so far tonight, with 2 RBI and is now 11 for his last 24.
