Was hoping I'd get to post that one . I'm sorta glad I didn't go see his debut now, being only two innings. The thought never occurred to me that he wouldn't go deep into the game, but sitting out so long, doesn't surprise me.

This year in Double-A Cory Luebke has really shown why the Padres drafted him so early!

6ip, 3hits, 1ER, 0BB, 5K's, & pulled out the "W"....he's sitting at a beautiful 2.51 ERA thus far in 7 games/32.1 ip in Double-A this year!

Double-A stats:

7 gms/32.1 ip, 3-1, 2.51 ERA, Only given up 1HR, 11BB, 21K's, batter's are sporting a measley .215 avg. against him!!!

He was VERY impressive earlier this season when he was pitching in the dreaded CAL league (which is normally a pitcher's worst nightmare), going:

8-2 in 14 gms & 88.1 ip, sporting a remarkable 2.34 ERA, only gave up 3 HR's, held an outrageous 80K-to-17BB ratio, & held opposing batter's to a whopping .227 batting average!!! :shock:

I think Luebke is becoming a top-notch lefty talent!
