Fair i'd say, with a 4/9 GB/FB rate and few K's he's down my offseason list of top 50 prospects. In his last 34 IP he's K'd 21.

Honestly just an absurd comment. His k's are down because the giants are allowing him a limited number of fastballs per game. Have you looked at his era?

It's not really absurd to move him down in rankings. The Giants are limiting the number of FB's he can use because they think he still needs a lot of work on his secondary stuff, I'd imagine. Well, his K% is down by quite a bit this year, meaning he's still largely a one pitch pitcher, as he isn't as dominant when forced to use pitches other than his FB. He won't dominate big league hitters with his FB as nearly as much as he has minor leaguers. So if big leaguers can sit on his FB without much fear of another pitch, then he'll get hit if he remains a starter, and prospect lists are projections of major league success/value.

Your missing the point. Almost every minor leaguer needs work on their secondary stuff. When you limit someone's best pitch, they are obviously going to suffer. Now, just imagine what he would be doing in AA if he was using gas.

Really? His stats still make him a top prospect.
