Wade Davis is on the hill for Durham tonight, after only 4 days' rest. Wonder if they'll yank him early to pack his bags.

So far: 3 IP, 0 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 2 K

After todays performence he better be... I do remember reading that Joe Maddon was giving Sonny 1 chance at staying the in rotation or he'd go else where

Davis got slammed tonight. 82 pitches, 4 IP, 4 H, 6 R, 5 ER, 1 BB, 5 K's.

Why didn't they give him 5 days?

And according to MLB.com, he'll likely get the call later this week.

I could also think maybe he had some sort of nervousness in his head about a possibility of being called up in the middle of the game? Or some sort of nervousness of knowing this is his last minor league game

This was yesterday but I didn't see it posted. Blogger(Great stuff on PhuturePhillies.com) and Phillies minor league relief pitcher got two wins last night in Reading. I wonder if Elias can find out if that ever happened before.

He is a long relief pitcher IMO in the long run. Absolutly not sold on him and Badler agreed with my take from the game I watched him pitch.

Is he really not using his fastball? Did someone say that's why his K's are down?

Didn't see that, but I miss a lot of things. It would be a good question for the next live chat.

Do you guys really think he isn't using his fastball? Please tell me that you are joking. That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard.

Is he using his breaking pitches a little more? 10% more? That is definitely possible....

But please, please, please realize that the Giants are not nearly dumb enough to have him throw anything less than 50% fastballs in any given start.

The giants as a whole are excellent at grooming pitchers, they aren't going to screw up Madbum...
