From a collectors standpoint, which card would you be more likely to purchase?

A)

B)

I selected A. It has a minor-league look to it which I like in my minor-league cards. Almost retro to the old sets of the 80s.

B is nicer.

That being said, the view of the card is the least important thing. Which has the lower print run?

These are sets to be sold in the team store/online store so print run would be around say 500 or less. Card A is the 2008 card set which used all posed shots that makes the set look repetitive and boring to me. I'm trying to get the SJ Giants to give me the contract to do the '09 set and card B is a mock up I had 200lbhockeyplayer make for me using one of my photos to give them an idea of what I could deliver.

I love B.. Every yr I buy alot of MILB team sets to get IP autos during the milb season. I tend to only get minor league / college cards signed.

B would look great signed..especially since I'll prob see him this yr in CT.

I like the look of card B much better. I'd prefer it to fade to white instead of black at the bottom, however, for use for autograph collecting.

I like "B", but I'd rather see the "San Jose" logo like last year's and maybe "2009" on it as well. Very nice!

It more than likely would be. The logo used was the only one I had access to since MLB.com changed their pressbox website and I haven't created a new account there yet.

If I were a collector of Posey I would go after both, but yours clearly is much much better. To me, if I'm a collector of that player, I'll be going after his cards regardless of what they look like. Take Price for example, I'm trying to pick up all of his stuff, even though some of the designs aren't that great.

Yours is a great looking design and nice crisp picture, which is a vast improvement over most minor league cards. And I agree with a previous post that said faiding to white might be good for auto seekers.

Nice stuff Chris.

Casey

oh yeah, good luck to Vandy in the upcoming game you'll be at, lol.

I like B too. From a purely aesthetic aspect I like the fade to black, but I can totally understand the fade to white preference.

B definitely looks more polished and professional. A has the feel of the copy and paste job that it probably is to me.

B. If more minor league teams had sets like that, I would be more inclined to get those for IP's rather than picking up Bowmans/Tristar

B without question. The design immediately made me think of Mike's (200lb) work. I'd love to see the Zephyrs use a similar design for their team issued set.

That's good... because it is his. It won't be the final design or more than likely anything close to it. I just needed something to show so they would consider switching from the "sit and smile" photos they have been using.

Exactly... fade to white or light gray.... just something that is more autograph friendly.
