Got a question a scoring call. Just happened.

Jacobs was on first base.

Callaspo hits a bloop single into center field.

Jacobs only goes half way to second because he isn't sure if the ball is going to be caught.

Tori Hunter catches it after it hits the ground and throws him out at second.

Why does Callaspo not get credit for a base hit?

I think it's just the rule, no judgment call. It sucks for Callaspo - you generally see that kind of stuff in video games more than in real games. :lol:
