Pujols HR (29).... Nothing else needs to be said 8-)

.... except B.I.W just went yard vs Randy again. This guy truly is a machine.
The only comp that comes to mind is Optimus Prime.... can anyone else see the similarities ;)

That's alright. You can take The "Machine" and his Hr's and RBI's and I'll take a Giants win. Pujols can sit and gaze at his 3rd MVP on his mantle and watch the Giants in the playoffs.

Mike Burns (MIL) out-pitched Johan Santana.

Braun went 3/4 with 4 RBI
Prince went yard

F-Mart went yard

Aren't there two better teams in the NL West right now than the Giants? I would think the Cardinals have a better shot at winning the Central than the Giants do the West, or even the wild card for that matter.

Giants better trade for a serious bat.

No. The Giants have the second best record in the NL and are in the wild card lead and just took the first 2 from the Cardinals. There is nothing that is showing me that the Cards are a better team than the Giants right now.

I never claimed the Cardinals were better than the Giants. I said there were two teams in the NL West playing better baseball right now than the Giants - Rockies and Dodgers.

The Cardinals can take the Central, Giants finish 3rd place in the West and Pujols would have his 3rd MVP trophy and another possible WS appearance.

Unfortunately your scenario is not happening right now. The Giants have a better record than the Rockies and are 1.5 games ahead of the Rockies. The Giants have been steady all year long whereas the Rockies need a crazy winning streak to get up there. I don't think the Rockies can keep this up all year.

Guthrie with another pinch running appearance.

Nothing like going into the bottom of the 7th winning 10-1 and blowing it. Game's not over yet though.

Valid point. I just see the Rockies as a better team than the Giants. I don't think the Giants have the offense to make it to the playoffs.

The Giants would definitely be a tough team to beat in the playoffs though with Lincecum and Cain. They could throw 5 or 6 of the 7 games if need be.
