Nats just got a nice partial return on their Jayson Werth investment.

Werth might have got the big hit but the 6IP by Detwiler was huge for them with how their SPs have been this series.

Its like the same post I wrote last night & almost every october.

The yanks have a way of making no name pitchers look like koufax.

Like always swisher doesn't know to bring a bat to the plate but now he has a mate in granderson. Theres no smoking when curtis is "batting" because you'll never be able to light up with all the whiffs.

Joba just got smoked in the elbow by a broken bat. He's done for the night.

too bad he wasn't impaled with it. Might bring more serious attention to the problem of frequent broken bats since I"m not convinced much has been done to minimize things since the Tyler Colvin accident other than just chalk up broken bats as **** happens.

I'm not sure how many of you got to watch it, but that battle between Jay Bruce and Sergio Romo...Bruce being the winning run with the Reds down by 2....it was epic. Every swing Bruce had, he was just missing and it end up going like 10-11 pitches. It was intense.

man, this year's LDS worked out better than I expected. All series will have had a game five and the Reds choked - I believe I heard that it's the first time a team up 2-0 in a LDS was eliminated.

now, if the O's can put the dagger in the Yankees hearts tomorrow, I can die happy at the end of the world in December. ;)
