The bleacher report still has Cole going first to the Pirates. Pitchers pitchers and more pitchers.

If pirates want a pitcher that can hit and give himself run support they draft Danny

My surprise pick is Tyler Anderson going in the top 20. I'm also going to go out on a limb and go ahead and say that I believe he will be the first player to reach the big leagues.

I've got George Springer at 9 to the Cubs.

They took an odd pick in the 1st last year and I think they'll do it again, and since everyone has Springer going in the teens + reports have the Cubs taking a college arm, there's my odd pick.

I'd really like to see this happen (not just because I'm invested in him). Played HS ball with Andy for 3 years and really nice to see how good he's gotten and how hard he's worked. Totally different person than he was coming out of high school and a MUCH better work ethic.

Here is my surprise Cole falls to #3 and Arizona gets him and Bauer. That would be a nice 1st round for the d-backs.

The only other thing I think could be a surprise is the Braves could stretch and draft Bradley jr or esposito to fill future needs.

Cool, I'm an Oregon Ducks fan so I have kept up with him the last couple years also. He must have really improved to go from something like 38th round out of high school to an All American and likely 1st rd pick! I have a few of his cards, they are frickin dirt cheap for as good as he is.

Nice! I played catch with him and worked out with him last summer a couple days back at our HS field and really saw how much he's improved. If I recall correctly, he was a 50th round pick in '08 by the Twins and now is a 1st round talent. I started picking his stuff up dirt cheap just because I played with him, but now it's looking like a pretty solid investment.

My bold prediction is the Red Sox draft Josh Bell.......and the signing/deal will be pre-arranged. I'm calling 100% BS on his letter to the MLB Scouting Bureau. Actually I think it's directed at teams like the Rays, who will only offer slightly more than slot. Pretty much saying, 'You can't afford me.'

I think this is going to be one of the most unpredictable drafts in many years. I think a lot of people will be surprised by the top 5 picks and guys like Rendon falling. I could see him dropping to 5 or further.

Arizona is incredibly lucky they didn't sign their guy last year as they could get 2 legit #1 aces in the top 7.

OK, your bias is just astounding.

The multiple Hultzen threads are fine-I can deal with that. But to act like his batting should have any influence in the Pirates taking him #1 overall is just astounding to me. I can just see it now. Neil Huntington, turning to his fellow draft room guys, "I can't decide between Cole and Hultzen-so I have decided to go with Danny because he can hit." I mean come on.

I think you're just being a little sensationalistic frankly. I haven't seen one [credible] mock-draft that has Rendon falling past three much less than him dropping out of the top five. There's virtually no way that happens. But if so, I stand very much corrected.

I haven't either! Just mine :D

We'll see. If Seattle passes on him, I still think Arizona, Baltimore, KC all draft pitching.

The more I think about it, the more I can see it happening. It all depends on #2 though, if Seattle takes Lindor, I could see Rendon dropping down to #7 to Arizona. If Seattle takes Starling at #2, he goes #6 to Washington.

Starling wont get passed Washington at #6, and as of now, Arizona, Baltimore, KC are all targeting pitching. Washington is so high on Starling that if both Rendon and Starling available, I think they go Starling. I could be 100% crazy and wrong, but we'll see in a few hours :D

Your move sir! haha, Rendon goes #6. I'm sure if Starling was there, he would have gone #6 to Washington.

Sonny Gray falling out of top 15
with all this good pitching: Bundy,Cole,Bauer,Barnes,Jungmann,Hultzen,Bradley (2), and more.
I just see to much pitching talent in this draft that I think is better than Gray
My prediction going well...
