I'll weigh in on the Nationals, which is the toughest to do because they're the youngest franchise (11th season...). But two come to mind: Frank Robinson, the first manager, and Livan Hernandez, 2005 opening day starter, first larger than life character. Both are immediately identified with the return of baseball in the minds of many people.
