He said "one of the best" not "the best". Posey and Molina in the NL are clearly 1 and 2. Ruiz at #3 in the NL seems right.

Exactly. The Mt Rushmore of catchers in MLB today are: Posey, Mauer, Yadi, Wieters. I don't think Ruiz is in that company.

He's not off base. I'm sure as a fan of the Phillies he places Ruiz higher than the majority of fans. If you look at Carlos' stats other than his PED enhanced year of 2012, I don't see elite.
