Some good games in the early going:

Fla ~ Josh Johnson looking for his 8th win

Wash ~ trying to figure out how they lost last night

Tampa ~ looking to win on the road and put some runs on the board

Toronto ~ Ricky Romero looking for his 6th win.

Red Sox ~ Beckett looking to add to his 16 inning scoreless streak.

Os ~ Brad Bergesen looking for his 6th win and to be mentioned in the ROY discussion.

Bergesen is going to make the AL ROY race very interesting. Already staked to a 5-1 lead through 4 and has only allowed 3 hits so far against Beckett and the Sox.

Kershaw on the bump for the Dodgers, striking out Fowler to start the game. EDIT: Barmes pop out, Hawpe double, Atkins pop up. 19 pitches (11 strikes, 8 balls...eh).

I'm cautiously optimistic after his last outing against the Mariners: ONLY ONE WALK! He'll be one of the top lefties in the league as soon as (if) he finds his command.

According to Gameday, he's already getting pinched on a few calls. Let's see how he responds...

Maine pitching a gem.......but the Mets cant get any runs.

Pelfrey is pitching for the Mets but Gallardo is the one pitching a gem: 1BB 8K through 4.2IP!

Pelfrey:5IP 3H 4K'S against a tough brewers line up.

While Gallardo is pitching a heck of a game, its just not the same when hes doing it against this lineup.

What a battle it will be for ROY between Ricky Romero and Brad Bergesen :D

Today's lines:

Romero:

8 IP
4 hits
4 walks
0 ER
7 Ks

Bergesen:

8 IP
4 hits
0 walks
1 ER
6 Ks

Romero is 6-3 on the year and Bergesen is 6-2.

Both these guys are leaving Porcello in the dust

I have to ask, how much Bergeson stuff do you have? All I keep reading is begerson this and that (not trying to give you a hard time). Just assuming that you must be heavliy investd into him.....

And yes, he is having a VERY impressive year so far.

Some tough luck today for pitchers....Gallardo pitches a gem of 1 ER gets a no-decision and Bergesen pitches a gem 1 ER and gets a no-decision.

At least they were playing the red sox today, i wanted them to win and bergesen to do well, can't get a win on both ends....go SOX only 2 difference in the loss column between the yanks, they needed it today.
