MLB Network? Anyone heard of this?

I was just flipping channels on my Digital Cable with the Sports Package... includes NFL Netowrk, NBA TV, a tennis channel etc.... looks like a new channel will be added Jan 1st.

MLB Network :shock: I havnt heard anything about it. This will be perfect to fill the time between the end of the football season and the start of the baseball season. I hope they show some spring training games come March.

This is the first I had heard of it.... Im just watching the stuff they are showing now. Amazing catches.... Jeter running into the stands... Ozzie diving to catch one with the out fielder diving under him.

I think I found my new favorite channel.

And... Harold Reynolds will be on it.

Sat the 3rd has 2008 World Series Game 1 on the schedule.

Yeah. I have Fios, and there was a preview of MLB Network about a week ago. It looks really cool! It says it is coming January 1st. I cant wait!

They've tried real hard to get recognizable names for the station. They stole Rays broadcaster and former MLB pitcher Joe Magrane

The first showed a commercial for it during the All-Star game or Home Run Derby, and I was absolutely thrilled, giddy you might say. So the other day I'm on MLB.com and I see a link to stuff about the network and decided to make sure Dish Network would have it. So started doing some googleing and come to find out that despite MLB Network being the largest cable tv launch ever, Dish hadn't come to an agreement. I was/am pissed. Someone start a damn petition.

Is it on cable or directv, dish...?

Im watching it on Comcast Digital Cable.... but with the Sports Package that includes NBA TV, NFL Network, NHL TV, a tennis channel, a soccer channel and an outdoor sports channel (hunting etc).

Its like a Christmas present I wasnt expecting.... its cool watching all the stuff they are showing right now.

279 - They are just showing all kinds of stuff right now... they just had a few Ichiro clips.... now George Bush's perfect strike in Yankee Stadium.
