Dodgers - Scott Elbert is a free agent after declining an assignment to the minors

Brian Wilson exercised his $10M player option to remain with the Dodgers in 2015

Dodgers make a qualifying offer to Hanley Ramirez for $15.3M - unsure yet if Hanley will accept the offer or decline and test the free agent market

Ken Davidoff -NYPost predicts Lester/Scherzer to the Cubs for only $340MM. Ha!
Do these guys pull numbers out of their arse? No offense to Cubbies fans but do you really think those FA's would even consider the Cubs?

WOW Guess I was wrong, Michael Cuddyer was offered a QO from the Rockies. He likely will be the first to ever accept I would imagine.

Yea this one is a head scratcher considering Cuddyer just finished a 3/31M deal. So essentially he is being offer half the dollars of his 3 yr deal for one more year....now with a draft pick attached to him, he is virtually unsignable

I know I'm dreaming but I would love to see Markakis in pinstripes. The Yankees need a right fielder and he does well at Yankee Stadium.

Time to wake up now.

If the money's right I would imagine a free agent will insider any team. Plus, from what I've read a lot of free agents would consider the cubs. They're in a place now where it looks like they are close to competing. An with all the upgrades to wrigley it'll be a great place to play. And it doesn't hurt that it looks like they'll be willing to spend very soon.

Hanley will 100% decline. Theres zero chance that he accepts.

Wait what? They just signed a new manager in Maddon (one of the best in the bigs) and are aleady turning around. We've seen Soler, Baez, Alcantara and others already with Bryant and Russell and others waiting. The cubs are going to be contenders in 2016 and if they can get some solid starters this offseason then I would expect them to contend for the post this year. Scherzer would be a perfect fit along with Lester.

Yeah. He'd be stupid to decline the offer and I'm pretty sure he will accept.

NO. The Yankees do not need a RF. They need to STOP spending. Markakis is not someone who should be on this team. He wouldn't add much power and is in decline which is what they do not need. Beltran SHOULD be in RF as he should be fully healed after surgery. We do not have a need for a RF. Our infield is much more in need.

Disagree on Beltran. He will never be what he was. THAT was wasted money. Ellsbury was not a great deal either.
