Jim Callis: (3:14 PM ET ) Big mistake. All that will do is antagonize the players and advisers now that MLB has arbitrarily decided this year's players are worth 10 percent less than last year's. Prepare for a lot of holdouts. I won't be surprised at all if there are fewer way-over-slot signings this year, but I don't think bonus payments in the first five rounds will be drastically different.

Prospects on sale. :lol: But seriously, MLB slot recommendations are a joke. Draft who you want and pay said player what he's worth.

So the smart team would make good offers on their players, get them in, and not worry about what the mlb says.

Unfortunately the owner of my favorite team has nightmares about Bud Selig making angry phone calls.
