Brett Anderson and Liriano both doing well

Anderson- 2 IP , 1 ER, 3K

Liriano 3IP, 0 ER, 3K

Anderson finishing 5IP, 3H, 1ER, 2BB, 5K

I think he left with a blister, and now the A's pen is doing its best to blow his win immediately.

I love the Sox, but their fascination with Julio Lugo is just inexplicable. The guy is so bad it's scary. Drops a routine throw at second of what should have been a double play, but instead everyone is safe and it leads to the Indians tying it up. And now, since Lugo came up, Bowden is back in the minors and we have no long reliever after Penny gives up 7 through 2.2.

I can't say it's a "fascination." They gave him a big contract and it's hard to just not use the guy at that point. That said, this is his first game of the season and Nick Green is the AAAA alternative (might even be kind calling him that). It isn't like there's someone else that needs to be playing there.
Green batted almost .300 in his time as the starter, and while he wasn't stellar in the field, he didn't make the horrific errors that Lugo constantly makes. Plus, they won 11 in a row with him. Why not just ride the streak out and wait for Green to prove that he doesn't deserve it?

Because Lugo just gave the Sox the lead. 8-7

Well we would already have a nice lead if it wasn't for Lugo so don't gimme that crap...

On another note Braun is still en fuego! 2-2 2 RBI BB

Brett Anderson with a solid start against the Rangers' potent lineup.
Alot of the SO's were 3-4 inches off the plate, but his stuff was alot better than a I expected, he definately had them off balance, and Millwood can't buy a break, 2 of his runs were unearned but he won't get the win probably.

Adam Jones for the Orioles really filling up the stat sheets these past two weeks:

4 HRs, 13 RBIs, 7 walks, 3 2B, 1 SB, and 14 runs scored.........a month's worth of stats for a lot of players!

Rickie Weeks with another dinger tonight (4). Solid for a leadoff guy. This really is looking like a breakout. Let's hope he can stay healthy.

Billingsley getting singled to death by the Giants......3 innings pitched 50 pitches and 5 hits so far.

Nice to see Ishikawa finally getting some good wood on the ball....2 for 2 and an RBI with 2 outs ~ Nice!
