I know Z is a great hitter but still...here's something you don't see everyday (Pitcher having the best day offensively for his team):


Zambrano 3-4, 2 RBI, 3 Runs

I want the cycle :twisted: He should have two homers tonight, his double fell a few feet short.

Impresssive!!!


My assumption is that he was not a pitcher pre-MLB....is this correct?

He's been a pitcher his entire career, he just really likes to hit. Sadly, he didn't get another at-bat, so he fell a triple short of the cycle.

Very cool.



I wonder if any pitcher has ever hit for the cycle?

I would assume not, but ya never know..

The Cubs' Jimmy Ryan did it on July 28, 1888, but no pitcher has done it since.
