How about this logic in regards to people from Pensacola: ( In-Laws)

1. Braves market. No arguing that but Braves are not blacked out.
2. Can not get Tampa and Miami games

but if you go 17 miles east from where I live: ( My house)

1. You are blacked out from the Braves, Marlins, and Rays.

I live right on the Alabama/Florida state line but my ISP runs out of Tampa Bay. When I called MLB.TV the lady told me since I live in Alabama and my ISP is out of Tampa Bay. I would be blacked out of the Braves and the Rays games. This doesn't make sense to me. I know I should be blacked out of the Braves games but I don't think I should be blacked out of the Rays too. The lady said that my Ipad might generate a more accurate Ip address.

Anybody else worried about the increase in blacked out Saturday games ? Fox plans to make five or six games available in prime time, instead of the three it usually has in its afternoon slot, USA Today reports. Last season, Fox broadcasted three times on Saturday night during the regular season and saw a big jump in ratings from its Saturday afternoon games.

I forgot about the Saturday games. That does suck. It does seem like I was blacked out of more than usual last season.

I'd be all over getting the app if it provides closed-captioning/subtitles (I'm deaf). Well, actually...I am fine about not using that app nowadays since I work at home (programmer) so I get to watch almost every Tigers game on FSD and, occasionally, other games on MLB HD and other channels.

The Saturday game thing is a bit ridiculous. I understand that Fox has the national broadcast rights to the Saturday games (at least the day time ones), but the problem is they have several games at the same time and inevitably it seems I don't get the Yankee game on Fox. BUT, since Fox has the broadcast rights they block out ALL the Fox games, whether or not it's actually showing in your area. As a result I frequently can't watch the Saturday Yankee game at all on any device/TV.

Ditto. Lets hope MLB gets on the ball one day, and fixes the blackout issues. For a league that seems most on the ball with their mobile/internet streaming, they are way behind in how the broadcasting rights are divided out.

I'll give another shout-out to using the Apple TV. Easy-to-use interface and beautiful quality. Beyond MLB.tv they are great as well. And being $99 we have one on every TV in the house. Great little devices.

Am I missing the month to month option for MLB TV? I don't need it when I'm back in MA since the Sox are blacked out, but I'm only there from approx 6/20-8/20 and am pretty sure I've used a monthly option before

This seems like a good deal depending on the times of the games:

In 2012, MLB will unveil a universal app for Apple devices. Previous versions of the software required you to purchase separate apps for iPad, iPhone or an iPod touch -- and buying them a la carte ran you about $30. This year you can get the apps for free and buy a season-long subscription for $14.99.

What does $15 bucks buy you? Quite a bit. You get live gameday audio of every team, pitch tracking, and play-by-play updates, plus a free live videostream of one game per day, as selected by MLB. The same offering applies to Android devices and comes with a similar pricetag.

While you might not think twice to shell out $14.99 for a ticket to an actual game, that price can seem steep in the world of app purchases. That's why MLB will now allow you to pay $2.99 on a month by month basis, another new change for 2012. Want to skip your team's hitting slump during the dog days of Summer and go right for September? The a la carte plan is for you

I will probably just get premium and get the app for free.

Having the app free for those with subscriptions already is huge. It was pretty lame last year having to pay per app. I didn't do it for just that reason.

Now I can listen to day games while I work. :D

Yeah, just being a single app would have been huge. But with the way it's set up now it really make mlb.tv a lot more reasonable.

Sweet, I can't run the app on my iPod. It's "unsuported"

I wonder how much Apple is paying developers to stop including three year old devices. Let's not forget, Apple wants you to buy a new device atleast once every two years.

Stupid, stupid, stupid.
