Modano Tribute

If you haven't seen it yet, go check NHL.com and see the Mike Modano stuff from last night.

They did a pretty cool tribute to him during the game, where he got a standing O from the fans, the Stars players and the Ducks players, and he was trying to hold back...but couldn't.

Very cool.

20+ years with the SAME team...unbelievable, especially in Hockey. One of the classy guys and he'll be missed if he decides to hang it up.

I saw the tribute last night on NHL on the Fly when I got home from the Pens game. Modano has always been one of my favorite players and it was awesome to see the fans get a chance to honor him like that. he is USA hockey and I was sad to see him not picked to play for Team USA in this year's Olympics. I got to see him play possibly for the last time in person in early March here against the Pens.

He's always been one of my favourites too. He was drafted 1st overall and Trevor Linden (my favourite all time Canuck) was 2nd so they always had a connection. Great to see the Duck players also show their appreciation for a classy all time great.
