Good morning! About 5 inches of snow/sleet here. Could easily build an igloo as it comes up in chunks when shoveled. About halfway done shoveling, but got everything off the cars. High of 25 today, so the sun is going to have to be cooperative in melting a bit.

Morning all! Going to try staying in the house the next couple of nights before the furnace can be put in on Wednesday. Coldest room gets down to 44 with no heaters. All bathrooms have been plenty warm. Under the kitchen sink is the hardest to keep warm. Biggest room in the house, so trying to isolate the heater to be under the sink, especially since it's on the north facing wall of the house. Tried pumping as much heat as I could the other night before it got down to -12. Found out the house's limits on power when I tripped the main.

We got about 17" from what the news station said. Fluffy light snow. I shoveled some. I'll do more later. My nephew's friend will do the rest. My nephew lives in Georgia near Fort Stewart. Brat kid.

We got spared the 18" of snow predicted but still got about 6" which is more than enough to shut stuff down in Oklahoma. I've been out and about a few times doing road surveys and knowing how people drive on dry roads I'm glad they're staying home.

My first weather event in 22 years that I'm not sitting behind the mic so it's been odd sitting at home while other people are working. I managed to get all the cards that have been piling up on my card table sorted and ready to put in binders. Hopefully I'll get to that today.

Afternoon all!

Down to three sets left to sort, but they’re pretty big piles…

Going to try and stay at the house tonight. 4 nights in hotels has been too much, plus it got up to 35 here today. Moved space heaters around a little, trying to get the bedroom pre heated for tonight. Hardest thing will be convincing the kids to shut doors to keep heat in the rooms that need it the most.

Afternoon all! Ended up with 6" of snow. Luckily, it's the powdery stuff. I won't get above freezing this week.
