I don’t even know what to do anymore, my kid loves legos, got a bunch of sets for Christmas, and even with the 18+ sets he’s done in an hour or two…we can’t afford the ones that will actually keep him occupied a couple hours….nor do we have the room for themMorning all! Took the day off since Jayme has school, but the kids don't start back up until tomorrow. Bennett is working on one of his 6 Lego sets he got between his birthday and Christmas. Made the joke that we are only going to work on all of the Lego sets today, so that way he can get them all done. He also has a couple of STEM toys to get put together.
Haha, I hear you. Bennett and I worked together on the Home Alone house before Christmas. It took us about a week or so, but that was with us just working on it for an hour or 2 at night. I'd say he did about a third of it and I did the rest. Figured for a 7 year old, I wasn't going to complain about it. Right now he's working on the Team Sonic Command Truck. He was interrupted with a doctor's appointment, and of course when I told him there was no needles this trip, they decided to do blood work.I don’t even know what to do anymore, my kid loves legos, got a bunch of sets for Christmas, and even with the 18+ sets he’s done in an hour or two…we can’t afford the ones that will actually keep him occupied a couple hours….nor do we have the room for them
Damn, big baller, lol, that’s one of the expensive large sets I was talking about, my kid wants it bad! That and we want the XMen mansion too…god I’m sure there are others.Haha, I hear you. I saw that the Home Alone house is being retired this year. Mentioned it to Jayme and she told me to get it. The details and Easter eggs in it are fantastic, so much so that Jayme was impressed with it. It went on our front entryway table through Christmas, haha. Bennett has been a fan of the Creator 3-in-1 sets as well since he likes to build one and then take it a part to build the other designs.Damn, big baller, lol, that’s one of the expensive large sets I was talking about, my kid wants it bad! Let’s see, he’s done the Nike x Lego Slam Dunk, the Poinsettia, the Bonsai tree, Paris and London architecture sets and the Tuxedo cat…off the top of my head, lol. And it’s actually pretty cool, on Lego.com you can design your own minifigs, so we did me, my wife and my son for him for Christmas too
Here’s a few of the ones from Christmas, and I also forgot he got the game boy too. Can you tell which ones the real one and which ones the Lego one? lolI saw that the Home Alone house is being retired this year. Mentioned it to Jayme and she told me to get it. Santa brought both boys a custom minifig this year! For the price, I thought it was a great deal. After getting them in, it gave me ideas to tweak for updated ones for them eventually, but they thought it was cool that their names were on them. Bennett's seen some of the winter villages posted on Reddit with me, and he wants to try his hand. He has the hot coco stand and the winter gazebo, both were free gifts with purchase through the lego.com website
The Gameboy is one I want for the nostalgia factor, and everybody online says it was one of their favorite builds. I didn't have the Gameboy, but I did have a Gameboy Color and Gameboy Advance. I was 5 when the Gameboy Color came out, and I think I was 6 when my sister and I both got one. Here’s a few of the ones from Christmas, and I also forgot he got the game boy too.
