Depends on what you mean my by written in stone. As on the checklist it says 1 ROOKIE AUTO per box. Now if luck and rg3 are bonus hits fine. But if they replace the 1 ROOKIE AUTO per box then no Bueno

The OP makes a valid point. People can say what they want, but the god damn prospectors throw a XXXXing fit when they pull veteran/2nd year/50th year never was players as opposed to the teenagers they hope to make a killing on. Evidently that is fine and dandy for baseball collectors. Football collectors wanting a rookie product to stay rookie?!?!?!?!? Lets gang up, make fun, and point fingers because we're the cool kids. It has non-rookie autos every year. The difference is that, according to the checklist, Luck and RGIII are taking the place of rookie autographs because they are listed in the rookie autograph section. If they are additional, bonus autographs like other years, that's fine. People look forward to this product like teen stalkers look forward to Bowman Chrome in baseball. They want the RC autos in each box, not vets taking the place of RC autos.

Right, because Luck and Griffin won't be SSP and likely an extra hit. The subject list is already larger this year at 40 premiere players plus scrubs than it has ever been, and I sincerely doubt this minor technicality on the Chrome checklist will bother anyone but the smallest minority. Not a money grab, more of a way to make more people happy with a XXXXty class.

In rookie reprint autos of stars. NOT listed as a rookie autos. This is a money grab by topps. Even with them super short print it still takes away from rookies in this great class. I may be wrong but it's still my opinion although what's really sad is people saying because demarcus ware isn't on sports center he must be bad. Not a person alive disagrees he is a lock HOF.

He is actually in the set. Topps confirmed it was an error. But I'm just saying why are they listed as rookie autos when they are clearly not a rookie. The fact that topps is also putting them in finest doesn't help either.

For those who would rather pull a RC Auto, and pull the Luck or RG, I am sure you can move them for about any of the RCs, or multiples of the lower value guys you want to prospect. I guess my view is this isn't a money grab more of a value add. Yes they put them in a weird part of the RC set, but it should be a benefit if they are pulled not a downside.

To the OP etc. you pull the Luck or RG, what harm did it do?

What benefit did it do?

Maybe I am missing something and I'm down to hear what it may be, but I think the positive is a much longer list.

Well being I don't believe in luck or rg3 having good years (look at tebow dalton newton Bradford's) second year the down side is you get an auto of a guy who doesn't belong in the set sure you can sell it but half the fun of collecting is pulling hits worth keeping/PC cards. For me gavin Escobar is my PC this year. Like many others and I'd be pissed if I pulled a luck. Believe it or not I hate selling cards. So I end up keeping 90% of the cards I pull.

For me I'd rather pull a rookie who's prices haven't hit there peak like luck and rg3. Hell last year I pulled an osweiler on card auto. and traded it for the red ref I needed for my avatar pic. It's now worth about $30 raw. Had I kept it I would've graded it.
