Money orders and Ebay

I have a buyer requesting to send a money order for an auction of mine. I haven't received anything other than paypal in years. If I take a MO, do I just need to:

1. Cash the MO
2. Ship with DC
3. Upload the DC # to the tracking page on Ebay

and I'd be good? Sorry if this is a stupid question, just haven't dealt with it in a while and can't recall.

as long as its a legit MO. the buyer is totally at your mercy, as there's nothing they can do if you dont send

I would wait a few days to ship to make sure the money order will clear. There have been instances of bogus MOs in the past.

Absolutely, thanks guys. I meant to imply in my "Cash the MO" step that I would wait for it to clear but wasn't explicit enough. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something and might be leaving myself open to some nonsense. Thanks a lot for the feedback.

FYI you can still use Ebay shipping when an item is paid for with a money order. Just go to your items sold page and click on "print shipping label" just like you would if they paid with Paypal.

I had couple of people send me money orders and they were legit. Of course I didn't send anything until it was cashed. I had one guy tell me flat out the only reason he needed to pay me that way is because he wife would kill him if she found out he was buying more cards.

You can work this ******.....and then when it clears your account I wold ship......the buyer should know this if he wants to pay this way
