That's some deal, for him! Like Mookie a lot, from his playing time in Salem.

Another terrible contract for a team with too much money. 13 years is insane. He'll be 40 when it's over.

He's an elite fielder and runner, but those skills will diminish significantly 5+ years before the contract ends.

Betts is a great player, but inconsistent. One year he hits .346, the next he hits .265. Hopefully he doesn't fall too far like Andrew McCutchen did.
