I'm not buying into Schaub.

I'll be very surprised if he beats Roy. I just can't see an amateur-ish former NFL player beating Big Country.

They let guys who have previous MMA experience (Nelson/Kimbo) fight guys who dont or have little experience

Not to mention, Nelson will get demolished in the UFC HW divison if he wins

If the UFC gets a fighter who will draw pay-per-view buys, then this show will be a success...whether or not the winner ever comes close to fighting for the title.

One thing that is comical...to think of any of these guys fighting a guy like Lesnar, or even Heath Herring.

This class of HW sucked.

Not one of them on there would last a round against Mir, Herring, Congo, etc.

Most of them are gassed after 3 minutes

For being in UFC, they should be able to do better than that

I personally think Schaub will beat Nelson and then he'll drop to LHW just like Evans did. As for the part about these guys not being able to last against guys like Herring, Kongo, etc....i think that with some more training and experience that Marcus could become a monster. I could easily see him beating a few of the top guys once he learns some more and gets better. He has massive strength and size. If he can put some technique with that, he'll be very hard to beat.

The only problem with Marcus is his age. At 35, by the time he improves enough to be a force, he'll be too old to fight.

I think this season just shows how difficult it is to find top tier HW guys. I think I like Nelson more than most but just like in the first season, I think most of the better guys will drop to 205. I think Schaub and Wren both have potential but I think they are both probably better suited for 205. Marcus has a very interesting skill set especially with his size but you don't know how long he will continue to fight. You factor his age, his family situation and the fact that his body was beaten up in the NFL for around 10 years and he doesn't seem like someone that will be around for long.

I think that with the HW division being as thin as it is, for pretty much all organizations, a lot of the top prospects are signed to deals right away leaving not a whole lot of guys to choose from.
