ugh $4500 for tree work

We have a huge oak tree in the backyard which eliminates any option for a pool. Unfortunately we got estimates of around $7,000 a few years back and we just can't justify that kind of a price. I don't have any idea if people would want to actually buy the tree and take it down because it is straight as an arrow but it sure would be nice if they did!

Good morning, neighbor last week had a huge tree taken down $9000

Tree removal around here is virtually stopped cuz the guys can’t get the equipment.

And @MrMet : Going by my standards, YOU live in the mountains.

Remember my Pops was from Pen Argyl. G-mom from Bangor.

I have five large pin oaks --- trimmed back --- some limbs where over pool - both ends -- i was left a lot of wood i can burn . two trees i can't reach around would take two to reach around . i can see house behind mine now and need to block sunlight into kitchen . these guys were about 40 feet in air

glad my last operation was free ---3 1/2 hours -- at least 10 in room ---nine scar areas only two a row of staples - THIS wasn't Heart . Three scars above heart rest further south . Next month year check up plus exam . this was FOURTH south of belt LOL

My health care is free thru the Veterans Administration. I go to the nearest er when I have a bowel problem. The hospital sent me home ! I drove to the VA hospital, they did emergency surgery the next day. The VA has been given me great care. The hospital put the wrong date and still wants me to pay.

Sorry Barry about my ranting. Just a bad bunch of days for me.

I am so looking forward to baseball tonight! 4pm Yankees/Nats game, 7pm Dodgers/Giants game. I plan on watching BOTH.

Thank you. My wife and I went thru hell and then some with hospital bills and insurance before that you pay an arm and legs for. But they don't pay squat.
