Nice, my friend should be in Iraq right now for his third tour but messed up his hip and had to get surgery. We're all Military Intelligence so were not really in the Army.

Dont dog Mox because he can write the date correctly, now if it were written in Julian calendar date, then we would have problems

Not to start a deep convo, but I found this to be interesting. For all you music junkies, here's a thought. I just read this somewhere.

Every melody up to 15 notes has already been written.

True? That seems like a lot of possible note combinations. I'm no mathmatician (sp) so what are the total number of combos in 15 notes? Dan, don't say anything, I'm a little slow this morning ;) What do you guys think?

Ah Ha, my math degree comes through. Combination are figured out by factorials. do you use the 15 notes once or can they be used multiple times?

I suck at math, but from a musician standpoint I hope to assist this equation. In theory almost every "riff/melody" has already been used, but it depends on the tempo, attack, sound (piano/guitar/flute/trumpet/etc.) that makes it different. Remember there are only 7 notes to choose from with 5 of them having a flat or a sharp so there isn't much to work with.

That is my "long" answer to make me sound smart   Where did you read this at Dan??
