Which catcher do you believe is the most underrated/deserves more attention in the minors in the group of players above. If name is not one of the choices, leave your response as to whom you believe deserves more hype

Catcher is a tough position to state an underrated player, because if they have skill at the catching position, they aren't underrated. And the most of the good hitters who can catch will eventually move off the position, so I didn't want to vote for one of those players (Lawrie, maybe Montero) either.

I'm not up on ALL of those guys, but I voted for Romine.

It's a travesty not to have Angel Salome on this list. He lead the Southern League in hitting and didn't get ANY love from BA or BP the WHOLE SEASON.

I voted other, Adam Moore.

Out of the players listed, probably Wilson Ramos or Jason Castro. Castro I think is underrated because people see him as an overdraft, always talking about who the Astros could have had, so they find reasons to tear him down and dismiss him, but he's a damn good prospect.

yeah, no love for all 5'7" of him. seriously though, they need to find a way to get him into a lineup at some position.

Travis d'Arnaud didn't appreciate being left off the list.

He led the FSL in throwing out baserunners, 46% I think. BA says he's become an average receiver and blocker.

Lucroy made two BA Hotlists last season. I understand your point, but in comparison Salome's season at a higher level KILLED Lucroy's output offensively.

Lucroy isn't THAT far ahead defensively either.

Lucroy hasn't shown up on any prospect lists, so it's no wonder he's not on the fcb list.
Then again, that's the definition of under-rated.

excerpt:
The statistics seem to agree that Lucroy remained undeterred. Between low class A West Virginia and high class A Brevard County Lucroy offensively put together a line of .301/.377/.872. Defensively Lucroy vastly improved, throwing out 44.8% of runners. Lucroy's solid percentage was second out of all the catching prospects that appeared in the esteemed Baseball America Prospect Handbook, according to Ben Badler of Baseball America.

Salome's bat is great, but I think it's apparent (should be by now anyway) that he's not the catcher of the future for the Brewers. That being said - everything listed bin/bo on ebay is listed far too high lately, so whoever you are - that time isn't here yet.

PS - sheets buddy, lucroy is light years ahead of angel defensively.
