Jered Weaver does not get the attention he deserves. Check out his numbers (this year and going back a couple.) Can still get his BC Auto (which was SP'd) for around $20.

That's because his brother is probably the worst pitcher on a MLB roster and people confuse them.

He looks like a little boy, though.

ubaldo jimenez no question about it

He threw a no hitter and was plastered all over ESPN. He's not underrated.

stupidest thing i have ever heard. You act like throwing a no hitter is no big deal and on top of that you act like all he has done is throw one no hitter. Look at the guys numbers. He never ever gets mentioned as a top pitcher and his numbers have been pretty amazing.

Stupidest thing ever? Really? How am I acting like a no hitter is nothing. He threw a no hitter and was all over ESPN for a few days. Ubaldo is sick and I'm glad my Giants skipped him on their last visit. I disagree that he doesn't get mentioned as a top pitcher. Any discussion I've heard this year about NL pitchers is Halladay Timmy and Ubaldo. I'm not sure what you're watching but he's not really underrated anymore.

Lincecum should be 6-0...4 wins and 2 blown saves :( would have a lower ERA as well

Jaime Garcia on the cards. His stats are ace stats and nobody talks him up.

There's no such thing as "should be" when it comes to baseball stats. There's only what is. Sucky bullpens, sucky offense, sucky defense, and sucky teams are part of the game.

I am looking to start collecting a pitcher, who do you think is the most underrated pitcher in the majors not named Josh Johnson?

hmm.. Im watching Doug "big daddy" Fister pitch right now and I have to say Im impressed with him this year. 6 starts and his era is still in the 1s

:? Is that really a nickname that people are calling him? That doesn't really suit Doug too well haha. I guess the whole height thing, but still. Also Fister wouldn't be good to collect as he is only in 2 sets so far and I don't share haha jk

thats just what Im calling him

and yeah, he does need to prove himself, was thinking more in the term itself (where fister literally is 0) than the actual "underrated" sports talk (wheres it really means on a respect level) but I know what you guys mean about Cain and it makes good sense.

I was looking at stats the other day and saw Raffy Soriano. each year his era is in the 2s or 1s consistently. nobody seems to care about the guy though.

Haha okay, I wasn't sure. I agree with you that Fister is underrated. I'm glad he's having big league success, he worked hard for it.
