Feel free to answer this by NBA standard or how much key cards sell for. In both case my vote goes to David West. He is averaging 18.5 pts on a good team shooting over 50%. He also averages over 7.5 rebounds

Since the 05-06 season his lowest pts per game average is 17.1 and rebounds is 7.4. He is very consistent yet his cards sell for very little and he gets very little mention in top PF discussions

I'll go with Monta Ellis. Don't think people realize how good he is because of where he plays.

I like the Monta Ellis love but I would have to go with Andre Miller.

Haven't really heard David Lee's name thrown around at all since landing in Golden State, yet he still practically averages a double-double (.5 reb shy) and dishes out 3.2 assists. Hardly slowed down production since playing for a decimated Knicks team.

Also because he has no game outside of being a volume scorer.
Even though he got some pub for the streak this year, I think Kevin Love is extremely underrated. Some people still just say "someone has to score and rebound on a bad team," but this dude is good.

Not all good players get hobby love. And not all bad players sell low.

Its always been the case in basketball. Guys like David Lee, David West, Eddie Jones and to some degree Robert Horry never get enough hobby love for the prices of their cards to rise. Its a shame but is all based on how much attention collectors want to pay for them. They just dont command demand.

Then there are players that command dollars that dont make sense compared to their game.. Guys like
Latrell Sprewell
Jason Williams
Martin Mursepp
Toni Kucoc

Their rare cards sell for good coin. More or less driven by demand by collectors. Its odd but I guess the demand plays huge over the general performance of players.

I had a David West "stash". But I got tired of waiting for his prices to really go up, so I sold them a couple of years ago when he made the AS team and the Hornets were kinda hot. Still didn't make that much off them though.

IMO, Basketball is hard to "prospect" with, it seems like just the Mega-Stars sell well. There's not enough other collectors to drive prices up that much. Although, being on one of the top teams sure helps.

As for under-rated, JJ Hickson has put some great numbers on an awful team. and Memphis has a couple guys who look to break through soon.

I am a huge fan of Conley. His numbers are steadly increasing each year.

Former Memphis PG and now Houston's Kyle Lowry is very underrated

Danny granger is no longer overrated. Maybe two years ago, but no way anymore. He fits his role as an average to slightly above average player on a bad team.

Dirk has been an all star 9 or 10 times, not sure how that is underrated. Same thing for Howard.

Becuase the two are constantly dismissed as superstars and are left out of best in the league converstaions on a consistant basis, and both's toughness and ability to win are allways questioned despite the fact that without both of them their teams would win a good 15-20 games less
