Here's another one. It books for $1000 high. Unfortunately, I paid cash for this back in the golden era, so selling it now means I'd likely lose money...which is why it's not for sale:

yankees4bats.jpg

that's a ridiculous card, but i never understand the bolded clause above. sounds like the mantra of the archaic LCS owner "I paid X amount back in Y for that card, so I gotta get $X+ now." even though the card now sells for 20% of X.
you've enjoyed the card for a long time, sell it, eat a few $, and put it back in something you'll love more.

Oh, I don't intend (or need) to sell it. I just said that 'cause I figured someone would say something like "high book doesn't mean anything these days"...I am not in this hobby for the money. Not at all.

The Yankees quad-bat card is like the Ruth button card. If I sell these "best" cards (especially ones I've pulled, like the Ruth button) then I might as well stop collecting, because I'll never pull anything that good anymore.

Gradually putting the set together, based around this card. Need 11 more cards, and am hoping to upgrade this one to a PSA 6 (thus it sits perpetually on eBay). The Clemente RC was one of the first big cards in my collection in the early 90s, bought at the Pike Place Market of all places. I sold it during college, and picked this one up a few years ago to replace it.

Wow, there's some really nice stuff in this thread that completely overshadows these, lol. But based on BV or SV, it's gotta be among these.

I still want one of these one day. Never had the opportunity and the cash at the same time.

Mine would be one of these:
