mr.mem calling it quits?

I was just searching some stuff on eBay and came across a mr.mem auction. I have always bought stuff from him and always had good service. So I was disheartened to see this at the top of an auction:

Mehmet is one of the few sellers I don't mind hitting their BIN's. He is one of the elite sellers on ebay, he will be missed.

I went to mrmem.biz a few weeks ago to purchase some singles and the site was down. Stopped back in the other day and he announced he was working on a better, more user friendly site. I'd rather buy from his site than eBay anyway.

Maybe he'll be a model for future sellers. Seems to me, if you're a big enough seller you should be able to attract business to your site away from eBay and not have to pay such high fees. There has to be a point where your overhead is less than eBay fees. If enough sellers do this, it may lead to a system where other--smaller--sellers could get together and sell. Something more substantial than deals cut here and on other message boards. Something like Naxcom, but bigger.

He already had a decent site but he needs a bigger site to expand. I love his site. You get free shipping as long as you buy $5 worth of cards.
