I miss Fan Favorites
Me too. The REAL Fan Favorites: 2004 & 2005 Fan Favorites. Topps just slaps that tag on everything and anything these days. 2001 to 2005 were fun years with some of the most interesting products.

Will need 2 posts to get everything, like the Aug p/u thread. 4 days worth of mail due to a long weekend out of town (and my current spending spree that I need to curb).

A trio of Hertage, a LoDuca/25 and another Zach. I like getting these cheap nowadays. Those who have been around will possibly recall my struggles when these first hit. Still seeking gold and Red.
A few Garvey cards. Check out that tag? on the Panini quad. That is /99. I wonder if it was modified, but I don't think it was. Garvey Pads Quad 99 TAG.jpgGarvey 86T.jpgNew Leaf junk, but I'll still buy a few. No way will I go crazy though...Garvey Leaf 35.jpg

A couple commons with few Dodger cards. Trombley.jpgVenditte.jpg

I also got a COMC shipment, earlier than estimated, but still took them longer than normal. Didn't want to do it scan by scan, but a few Dodger autos I needed and some cool inserts and stuff.

Garvey /50. s-l1600.jpg. Marichal /15. Marichal.jpg

I tried out a new custom card maker and it isn't too bad. These are /100, so many more made than typical similar customers, but also cheaper too. I'd buy again, especially at the price level $7.50 + s/h.

artofthecards.com is listed on the back of the card, but got this on ebay.

Another of the new Leaf cards, this one /4. Garvey Rack 4.jpg

I got sucked up and nabbed this on a BIN. They are common and I overpaid, despite it being very cheap. I am only talking cents, maybe a buck, but still...Always best to do some research if you are not sure.

Finally, a stack of these Diamond Greats. Many have a Dodger connection, some do not. Screen Shot 2022-09-01 at 6.17.21 PM.pngScreen Shot 2022-09-01 at 6.17.44 PM.pngScreen Shot 2022-09-01 at 6.18.24 PM.png

Won a bunch of 1970s contract that have a ton of Al Campanis autographs, along with William Ramirez Jr (he was a long time exec and Dodger minors GM), but the big one for me was this contract. Despite the fact that these are carbon copies, I am happy to add William Schweppe. Schweppe was a long time Dodger executive and I believe may have even held a board position in the O'Malley days. Would have preferred an ink signature, but he still signed and this still holds some collector value to me because it is a printed copy of a real signature made by his hand, as opposed to photocopying a signed document.

Some cool obscure names for the Dodgers on some of these too, like Orlando Alvarez, Henry Cruz, Jerry Royster, Glenn Burke, etc.

Took a decade to land this one. 2012 Panini Golden Age Mini Ty Cobb back. There is always hope for that elusive insert/parallel after the initial issue wave subsides, but it often takes a lot of patience and some luck! s-l1600.jpgGarvey Cobb Back.jpg

Can't remember if IU had this guy already, but don't recall that he ever played for the team w/o looking it up. Cordova.jpg

I don't need any other Kemp autos and not sure why I even bid on it. This is a sure sign of a problem! I did get it from a consignment seller that I try to buy other stuff to justify the shipping...Kemp.jpg

Garvey day and a good one. Have noit won either of these in a while it seems. a 1/1 and a jersey number card 6/11.

Garvey 1-1.jpgGarvey 6-11.jpg

Also won a lot of (38) 78 Kellogg's cards. I recently added the set and it had 1 crack. No, I didn't buy the lot for that 1 card, but I was hoping it was included. It was NOT! Like I said before, didn't have a ton of these, so now I have most of the commons and semi-stars in duplicate.

I was also expecting my first star vintage card in quite some time, but the guy sent the wrong card! We'll see if I eventually get my purchased card or a refund on this one. This seriously happens WAY TOO OFTEN. How hard is it to mail the right card? WTF? I'll update when I find out.

Edwin Jackson announced his retirement today.
He came up from Dodgers organization and showed some promise, but Dodgers traded him, because he didn't completely fulfill their expectations.

Earlier, I mentioned getting an Archive 6/11 (82T IA). Turns out, I has won another copy of the same card /11, but not 6. TThat is what arrived before. he 6/11 arrived today along with another Archive /47. Garvey 47.jpg

Wills. Wills.jpg

This one gets mentione because of the obscurity of the player. I think he had a single Dodger card, aside from maybe a Mothers Cookies issue. Reggie Williams, but not the one from the mid-late 80s that got into one of the Donruss Rookies set. Dodgers were good at that, having p2 layers with the EXACT same name on their roster at different times. I can also think of Mike Marshall and Mike Ramsey to go with Reggie Williams. There could even be others I am not thinking of. s-l1600-4.jpg

A couple non-Dodger Dodgers items.

Neuse on one of these new Topps Montgomery Club auto cards. Another familiar, (59 T) yet decent design for this series. Neuse.jpg

And my hastiness burns me again. Turns out this contract was laminated. Still original, but the lamination hurts. (2) Fresco Thompson autographs too! Damn...still pretty cool and wasn't a bank breaker to begin with.

Rare non-flat item, but didn't take the time to pull all the images. Really, these are just semi-obscure future Dodgers at best. The biggest names are probably Dick Selma or Jerry Royster, but still a very nice 1975 Albuquerque Dukes ball signed ay about 20. Highlights for me include Orlando Alvarez and Terry McDermott. Greg Shanahan, John Hale, Joe Simpson, Stan Wall, Rex Hudson, Cleo Smith & Dennis Lewallyn are all on there who went on to play for the Dodgers briefly. Long time Dodger minor league manager Stan Wasiak is on the ball as well.

Dukes Ball.jpg

Preacher Roe Heritage Red, his only non-Dodger regular issue was this 55 Bowman card. Dodgers traded he and Billy Cox to Baltimore in December 1954. Both got Oriole Bowman cards the next year. Roe never played for them or again in MLB and Cox appeared in about 1/3 of the season's games in his last year.Roe.jpg
