What would be the OP's motive in offering the story about the rejections other than to look in our best interests? Is anyone skeptical that Burge would do this? I'm certainly not...

From what I have the seen the OP has never posted anything that was proven inaccurate, and it seems pretty clear that this, like his other posts, contain useful information, information that many would want to have. If you could show he was simply "crying wolf" that would be one thing, but it seems pretty clear that he's right about the Pujols's. (Same about the Jeter Auto's which he has posted about which all look like pretty good fakes and while a discerning collector might tell the difference, many wouldn't.Topnotchsy said:[quote="Jeff N.":3c3kqmcn]Ah, well, if SGC says it, it's GOT to be true.
By the way, the proper spelling is counterfeit, not counterfiet.
As for not proving anything, why did you bother to scan your very photoshoppable W-2?
SGC may be respected by vintage folk - the vintage I've had, I've had graded by PSA - but I lump them in with PRO and USA. If BGS or PSA came on and discussed it, it would have more credibility.

Jeff can you just stop because right not any creditbility you had is gone.
Your comparing Sgc to Pro?? Again why you can't even post info without an idiot chiming in.
Get lost because now what ever you say cant even be taken seriously. You have nothing to bring to table except for being a troll.
Go find another hobby you know something about. Maybe a proof reader?
mchenrycards said:J.P you are right, SGC never will command higher prices for modern cards but I think their niche is definitly pre 1970's cards. They definitley seem to have a team of graders that know these older cards, much more than PSA. I have a set I am working on that has both PSA and SGC cards included in the mix. I eventually will move the set to one company or the other but since this set is not a "vintage" set (1973 topps baseball) I will probably move the cards in the SGC holders to PSA to maximize any investment potential. (Not that there is one but this was the 1st set I put together as a kid so I am doing it more for sentimental reasons and not financial.)
To have a modern card graded by SGC is not the smartest move financially but they do look great with that black border around them. Some of the chrome cards I have seen in SGC holders look amazing with the border!!

And if their niche is pre-70s cards, clearly, a 2001 Bowman Chrome Albert Pujols doesn't apply.

See, now I was giving you the benefit of the doubt and even wanted to have your story confirmed by the powers that be at SGC. I have had many issues with you in the past but have laid off of you but calling Jeff a troll is like the pot calling the kettle black. I think you would do better to stick to what you know and not make personal attacks because it lessens your credibility as well.
I'll be there too. Somebody want to fight???mchenrycards said:Cardcop??? is that you?????
I will probably be at the Rosemont, Illinois show in November. I would love to have a chance to meet you. Are you planning on attending???? No need to man up..I mean come on...these are freaking baseball cards! I hope you dont intend to fight someone over baseball cards like your tone makes it sound like you are ready to do.

With that being said, I don't doubt for a second that people are trying to clean-up Pujols autographs or trim his cards heading into the post season with the hope of cashing in on his success.
I can't wait for the day when someone is able to start printing their own chrome cards.
