C- Dave Duncan
1B- David Ortiz
2B- Davey Lopes
SS- Dave Concepcion

CF- Dave Henderson
RF- Dave Parker
DH- Dave Winfield

MGR Davey Johnson

Some other additions:
Utility player - David Eckstein
Token Phenom- David Clyde
2 sports star - Dave DeBusschere
Top Prospect - David Price
Team ******* - David Justice

Had to put David Ortiz at first base, other than DH, as he has quite a few starts there and I needed to get Dave Winfield in the lineup. Even though Winfield was a better player than Parker, I want Parker's arm in Right Field.

You can make a good case for Davey Johnson to be a player-manager. He was a pretty good 2B in his day. In fact he is tied with Rogers Hornsby for having hit the most HR ever in a single season by a second baseman. He hit 42 as a 2b in 1973 and was a 4 time all star, 3 time gold glover, and twice a world champ with the Orioles during his playing days.

Being a HUGE Mets fan like myself, I want Davey Johnson in the dugout.

I actually had Davey Johnson at 2B before I found Davey Lopes. Lopes had a similar career OPS+ of 106 compared to Johnson's OPS+ of 110, but had 557 Stolen Bases to Johnson's 33. I needed some speed in the lineup, as my only other base stealers were Dave Concepcion (321 career SB) and Winfield (223 SB). He is the only member of a different 40/40 club: 40 Stolen Bases and 40 years of living: 40 year olds with 20 or more stolen bases in a season

Lopes actually outhomered Johnson as well, 155 to 136, but he did play in about 400 more games.
